    Great Monuments of Ancient Rome

    Colosseum

    The Colosseum

Interested in the ancient monuments and ruins of Rome? Well, you will find them everywhere. Sometimes in small and narrow streets and more or less well preserved, of course.
Here are those that are hard to miss:

    • The Pantheon, built to honor the great Greco-Roman gods, which is exceptionally well preserved.
    • The Colosseum is the largest amphitheater of its kind. Elliptical in shape, it’s where gladiators and animals entertained the people. This is certainly the most emblematic monument of the Eternal City.
    • The Forum romain, was the political and cultural center at the times of the Roman Republic and Roman Empire along with the neighboring Imperial Forums and that of Trajan which includes the ancient markets and the famous Trajan’s column.
