TRASTEVERE DISTRICT

Districts of Rome / Trastevere

 

From a certain time yet, the Trastevere is the fashion district. Its name come from the latin Trans Tiberim, on the other side of the Tiber.
Its little streets colorated are tipics and pleasant to visit.

Historicaly, here lived Jewishes and Sirians before to be included in Rome by Augustus emperor (-44, 14) becoming the 14th region of the city.
