With 12 museums, 1,400 rooms, and a 7-kilometer itinerary, they offer a journey through the history of art, from Ancient Egypt to the contemporary era. Borgia Apartments

Decorated by Pinturicchio (1492–1494) for Alexander VI, these six rooms combine Renaissance frescoes with modern religious art.
These are late 15th-century apartments that house part of the Museum of Modern Religious Art. The frescoes decorating the rooms were created between 1492 and 1494 by Pinturicchio’s workshop. They were intended as the private residence of Pope Alexander VI Borgia and his family.

Opening Hours 2024

  • Open Monday to Saturday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.
    Ticket office closes at 5:00 pm. Exit from galleries expected 30 minutes before closing.
